December 2023

Growth across all surfaces was “off the charts” in December. Mid-range temperatures, with some high humidity and lots of sunshine made it challenging to maintain mowing routines – lots of double cutting of Fairways and Tees. The major work for January will be turfing the 7th and 3rd Tees, seeding Tees with a couch/rye grass mix and also seeding the large bare fairway areas with a warm season variety mix.

Summer Greens

The 2nd green looking particularly sad. All the front 9 greens have significant patches like this.

November 2022 – Is summer coming?

Nearly at the end of spring and the ground staff are doing a great job to keep the course playable – even to the extent of installing a foot bridge on the 7th. The ducks are happy and so are the players.

October 2022 – Spring has sprung

April 2022 – resurfaced Tees

Work has progressed over the past few weeks on the resurfacing of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 8th Tees. This week the 1st was back in service. Good job by our ground staff, assisted by some much needed rain.
